The seeds for Flora and Pomona were planted early in childhood. Growing up in Sweden I was always very close to nature and I played countless hours outside. Many years later in an apartment in Montreal with a little end piece of beeswax and some olive oil, I made my very first balm. This was my first step into the world of handmade body care and a serious obsession with soapmaking. I took a break from soapmaking when I had my daughter but when I started back up again, my focus and purpose had intensified because now I was also making soaps and balms for my baby. As my baby grew, so did my desire to bring us closer to nature. I started studying herbalism and spending time in the local Ruelle Verte, a butterfly sanctuary brimming with medicinal herbs. Inspired by the goddesses who bring us the flowers, fruits and seeds that nourish us and that I use to make my products, I created Flora & Pomona.
